A clubfoot is medically known as talipes equinovarus (VTE). Here the baby is born with the foot twisted inward and downward. It can affect one or both feet. Usually a podiatrist treats it by manipulation, but even an orthopedic surgeon, orthopedist, or nurse practitioner can treat the condition. It is a very common birth defect and occurs in one in every 1,000 births.
If this birth defect is not treated, the person looks as if he walks on his ankles or the side of his foot. It occurs more commonly in men than women. There are many causes for this condition, but the main cause is Edward syndrome, where the person has 3 copies of chromosome 18. However, external conditions such as intrauterine compression can also cause it.

o Josef Goebbels: The infamous Nazi propaganda minister had a right clubfoot and this fact was hidden from the public. Goebbels wore a leg brace due to her condition.
o Charles Woodson: he is a professional footballer and cornerback for the Green Bay Packers. Woodson was born with clubfoot. He was forced to wear braces until he was 4 years old to fix the problem. In 2006, he signed a contract with the Green Bay Packers worth $ 52.7 million.
o Dudley Moore: He is an English actor, comedian and musician nominated for an Academy Award. He was born with clubfoot, which required extensive hospital treatment.
