Ibanez SR400 Review

The Ibanez SR400 is a bass. It’s not terribly expensive, but for a new to moderate gamer, it can get the job done. It comes with a slim neck, making it easy to move your hands while playing. The back has a matte finish that helps keep it friction-free, which, in turn, makes your hand glide up and down the neck and fingerboard much more smoothly.

This Ibanez body has been made especially well. It is very smooth with no sharp or pointed edges. It’s a very comfortable guitar to play, allowing you to play sitting down or standing up, as all basses should. For example, if you rest the guitar on your leg, it will stay balanced instead of falling over. The strings on this, at least at the time of purchase, are very loose which makes it play well. They also lift just enough off the bass fretboard that you get very little, if any, buzz.

Ibanez SR400 basses also come with P/J configured pickups, the P in the neck and the humbucker in the bridge. Also, it has three volume knobs and one tone so you can adjust the sound by a decent amount.

This Ibanez bass is one of the best for new or intermediate bass players. It comes with all the basic features and quality you’d expect from a bass in this price range, and offers fantastic sound.
