A woman is comforted by the fact that her man tries to protect her. But does it automatically mean that when a man protects a woman, he actually loves her? Or is there some other hidden agenda behind that chivalrous guy?
Men are made to protect.
Men were created to be the protector of their pack. It is supposed to be the breadwinner, the hunter, or whatever you want to call it. If you’re not trying to protect a defenseless woman, then you’re just being an idiot because they were designed to be that way.
He wants you all for himself.
Again, going back to the fact that man is a territorial being, most men protect the woman they are dating because they want what is theirs to remain theirs. If other men start flirting, you will notice that your man will start to behave strangely. It would probably take you away from the presence of these men.
He’s just being a gentleman.
Sometimes a man grows up well, which is why he is used to being a gentleman. There’s really nothing special about the way he treats you because he treats everyone like that.
He is pretending to be a gentleman.
Or it could be a man who is just trying to get what he wants. This boy will pretend to be a good boy because he still hasn’t taken what he wants from you. Beware of this type of man.
He wants everything to be done his way.
There are also men who want everything to be under control. And then it will try to do everything according to your wishes. He will dictate whatever he wants done because he always wants to be in charge. This man simply protects you because he is too possessive of you.
The experience hardened him.
This guy’s ex-girlfriends could have been taken right under his nose! And now, he is only trying to stand up for what is rightfully his. I wouldn’t let any male get near you for fear of losing you again.
It is desperately insecure.
This guy may feel like he’s very lucky to have you in the first place and therefore will go to great lengths to protect you from any harm or from any of his competitors. He may not feel qualified to be your guy, so he will always be on guard. He has so much insecurity in him that all he wants is to protect you from the adoring looks of men.
