The key to success in your home based MLM business is building a list of current network marketers and building a relationship with your list.

Here is a 3-step process that is actually quite inexpensive to build your own list:

1. Create an information product.

This product can be a short PDF report, an instructional video, or a series of emails.

The important thing is that you have to provide enough value to network marketers that they want to give you their email address to receive it.

What is valuable information for network marketers?

A product that addresses these top concerns of everyone in MLM:

• I suffer from information overload and don’t know where to start.
• I don’t really have much free time, but I want to earn some money, what can I do?
• I am confused and lack technical skills, what can I do to move forward anyway?
• I don’t have a lot of money to invest in building my business, what can I do to advance my business without going broke?

2. Create a lead capture page for your product.

Choose a domain name for your lead capture page that matches the keywords your information product is targeting.

 

Be sure to do your keyword research to find out what keyword phrases are really being searched for. A good rule of thumb is to choose keyword phrases that are searched between 4,000 and 10,000 times per month.

You will probably find that most of the popular keyword phrases are already taken as domain names. Do your best to find a keyword phrase variation that works, or at least choose a domain name that is related to the MLM network marketing niche.

Keep your lead capture page simple.

Clearly identify the benefits of your information product in the title and use 3-5 bullet points to briefly describe what your visitor will learn from your product.

Make the subscription form highly visible with clear instructions on how to subscribe.

3. Set up a series of automatic responses.

The emails you set up in your autoresponder that are sent to your list should provide your list with more useful information that will help them.

It’s important not to use your autoresponder series to sell people on your MLM opportunity.

These emails are an opportunity for you to brand yourself and develop a relationship with your list.

Write your emails as if you were sending an email to a friend with whom you want to share valuable information.

You can include a link in your signature, or in a PS, that sends people to a page that explains the benefits of your MLM network marketing business.

The key here is to build a relationship with your list by offering helpful tips and strategies.

Then people will come to trust you and want to join you in your core business.
