A true example of customer service – how a certified electrician gets my business from now on!

As a multi-property owner in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, it’s always hard to find a worthwhile contractor. That said, you may have one of the best electricians in Pennsylvania. The following scenario occurred recently and shows how building customer loyalty through good business practices still exists.

One of my tenants reported a strange situation where some of the rooms in the property had flickering lights the night before and eventually they all left together. After about an hour of troubleshooting myself, I determined that the problems were at the source. Most homeowners will try to do the job themselves, but when the job calls for a professional, they need to find one who can get the job done quickly at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately, it was a Sunday afternoon and after determining that it was more than I could handle, I started calling local electrical contractors using Craigslist. Craigslist can have mixed results, but sometimes you just get lucky… I was hoping to call multiple numbers, leave messages, and expect them to call me back within a reasonable amount of time. At the first number I called, someone answered in a friendly and professional manner. I explained my situation to him and did a quick interview about his qualifications and experience and asked if I could take a look.

Within an hour he was at my door as promised and ready to help fix the problem. After about 15 minutes, she quickly identified the problem with one of the phases in the electrical box. Within 30 minutes he resolved the issue and requested a reasonable fee.

It’s easy to find contractors who fly into the night, who can’t get the job done or will charge an arm and a leg for minimal work. When a homeowner finds a well-qualified professional like this electrician in Pennsylvania, it’s easy to refer them to other businesses. As an advocate of good customer service, it’s always refreshing to see small business owners looking to build long-term relationships to grow their business like this gentleman.
