How I found one of the best self-improvement books in the business of personal development

I need help! A few years ago, shortly after starting in the internet marketing business in the year 2000, I decided to read some self-improvement books. It was a time when I struggled with my search for a job that should fill my need for something I really love to do. Also, I was looking for a job that would provide me with a decent lifestyle. But what job should it be? What job should satisfy all my needs and desires? After weeks of surfing and searching the Internet, visiting workplaces, talking to my family, relatives and friends from high school, I came across one of the world famous books on the business of personal development called: “Think and Do Yourself”. rich”. written by Napoleon Hill in 1937. In a nutshell, he devoted more than 25 years of his life to discovering what makes people truly financially successful and happy.

So far this is the book that most influenced me in my early years as an internet marketer. This book has sold over thirty million copies worldwide so far. It is an understatement to say that it is one of the most successful self-improvement books. It opened my eyes because it describes in a fascinating and motivating way what clothes we should acquire to be successful in all aspects of our lives. Mr. Hill breaks down the 13 necessary steps one must take to reach the goal of personal and financial success. The book is now available as a free gift, which is not very common in the personal development business.

The first step to wealth

Desire – The starting point of all achievement

What is desire? A definition: Desire is the feeling that accompanies an unsatisfied state. You have to have a strong desire for something that you really want. If your desire is strong enough, there is nothing you cannot achieve. “Anything your mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.” -Napoleon Hill

After reading this first step of 13, I was reminded that whenever I wanted something more than anything else, I always got it. Looking back to my childhood, I remember that eG learned to skate at the age of 6. It was my desperate desire to learn to skate as soon as possible. Got a nice new pair of red joggers from my parents. It took me 2 days with countless hours each, some bloody knees, and mom and dad upset with me because I always forgot to do what they told me. But I did it. Nothing else was on my mind, just my desire dominating and focusing my thought.

At 15 years old I wanted something more than anything in the world and that was to have my own motorcycle. On my 16th birthday I passed my driver’s license exam and my brother brought my new Suzuki RG80 Gamma (blue/white) to my birthday party. That was the one thing I was totally committed to all year. Half of this bike was paid for by me. I paid for the driver’s license myself. I delivered newspapers 3 times a week (3 hours each for a measly bucks) and worked at a trucking company, loading trucks, 2 days a week (for just a little more…). I couldn’t get all the money for my motorcycle dream but hey, I have great parents who noticed how hard I’ve worked on top of school and funded the other half. But my desire was so strong that I did everything possible to achieve my goal and I achieved it again. So I applied this to my situation and my desire to find that great job grew day by day. There was no doubt in my mind, I knew I would find it. It took me another month to get to the point of knowing what I really wanted to do: Internet marketing. The strong desire to succeed on the internet is still with me and will probably never go away.

I am pretty sure that when you look back on your life, you will find some examples just like mine that will demonstrate to you the power of desire. Look for the desire in you and if it is strong enough there is no room for any kind of failure, you will achieve it! So, I have found one of the best self-improvement books in the personal development business, what about you?
