So how does this diet plan work?

The author designed a five-day cycle that must be repeated five times to achieve the 25-day diet. There are different diet plans for each day.

Every first day is Cheat Day where you can eat the fatty foods you crave. This will help preserve your leptin, a hormone that maintains metabolism in the body. Leptin is lost with continuous calorie cutting. Increasing your metabolism will help you burn fat faster. Cheat day is done only once every five days to offset the fat storage that also comes with leptin preservation. A density workout is also done on this day for the same reason.

Shake Day is when you can drink a specially formulated nutritional shake as a source of adequate calories. This is combined with strength training to keep the body lean.

Fast Day isn’t really a fasting day per se, rather it’s a day where you consume really low amounts of calories, lower than those on shake day. This is the day when your leptin is at its highest, driving your metabolism to the max while your calories are low, burning a lot of fat in the process. The diet is combined with lactic acid exercises that will definitely remove excess fats.

On a moderate carb day, you’ll want to eat foods that have the proper amount of calories from protein, carbs, and fat along with high metabolic exercise to optimize fat loss.

Day five is lactic acid training day when most of your body’s energy is depleted to prepare for cheat day.

The 25 day cycle can be done every 8 to 12 weeks. In between, you can do moderate exercises to maintain lean body mass. The exercises are done at home. But a trip to the gym won’t hurt either.
