Losing weight from my hips is always a challenge, but it is easily overcome with the right daily routine. Asian women have been able to rapidly lose weight from their hips and thighs for generations without having to train to death or starve themselves for days. I made it a point to mention what NOT to do to each of my weight loss clients who are new to the program, because I find that many people fall victim to advertising and marketing scams from their favorite television or magazines.

I want you to stay away from ALL diet pills of any kind, I don’t care about your fake, airbrushed “before and after” photos. Asian women don’t get their size 2 figures from a bottle, and neither should you!

I also don’t want you to go on any kind of starvation diet, where you deprive yourself of solid foods and vegetables for days and only drink a “cleansing” liquid.

Drop all that nonsense and let’s get you on your way in a healthy way! 🙂

1. Certain foods go directly to our hips and thighs.

It may surprise you to learn that up to 80% of all Asians are lactose intolerant as adults, which means it’s hard for us to process dairy products through our bodies. And it may also surprise you to learn that this is probably one of our best dietary advantages over other cultures, because it forces us to eliminate most of the food that goes directly to our hips and thighs as fat!

Butter, milk, cheese, etc., contribute to the accumulation of fat around the hips and the creation of cellulite on the back of the thighs. Reduce your dairy intake as much as possible, especially at dinner.

It’s okay to have a little breakfast as your body is primed and ready to burn calories as soon as possible. Just make sure you don’t overdo it and vary your menu each morning.

2. Carbohydrates are NOT the enemy… as long as they are eaten in moderation.

It’s a fine line between having the perfect amount of carbohydrate calories each day and having too many, which leads to rapid fat accumulation. If you really want to lose weight from your hips, you’ll always want to follow this rule of thumb:

Half the carbohydrates than proteins in each meal.

What does it mean? It means that if your main dish is chicken, lean meat or fish, I want you to have half a large serving of carbohydrates (bread, vegetables, fruit, rice) as your main dish. No more than that.

Cut back on carbs to keep the fat from hitting your lower half!

3. Eat a healthy salad ten minutes before your main dinner.

It is something that Asian families do constantly, eating light vegetable-based dishes before the main course of the meal. In America we tend to make that appetizer a salad, and that’s perfect for actually telling the body to start making the hormone that makes us feel “full” much sooner than it would if we sat down to eat everything at once. time.

Eat a good-sized salad, take a short 5-10 minute break, and then serve your main meal. You may be surprised to find that you don’t eat as much main course food as you normally would, it’s a very powerful way to lose weight without going hungry!
