One of the benefits of network marketing is the fact that you can work from home and work your own hours. This fact is particularly useful if there are reasons why you are having difficulty working a standard eight to five work day or are having difficulty working in a “traditional” office environment. People with attention deficit at some point fall into this category. Often, it’s not that they can’t work in those circumstances, they just would rather be a little more flexible.

If you’ve been in network marketing for some time, you may recognize that you often find high-energy people in this business. Of course, not everyone has diagnosed hyperactivity, but it is a very useful personality trait in the network marketing business.

Network marketing requires upbeat and positive energy. Since so much of network marketing is about people, it takes a lot of energy. You have to be awake most of the time. You have to be able to keep yourself and your team motivated, and this sometimes means putting your energy into overdrive. Suddenly, that trait that drove your teacher crazy is a huge bonus. Take advantage of that!

Network marketing often changes. This prevents a person with an attention deficit from getting bored. You don’t have to worry about anything being mundane for a long time. There are always new products to learn about, new training to listen to, changes in the compensation plan, and new people in your company. There is always something new to keep your attention, and you like it that way!

No one in your upline will think it strange if you are very enthusiastic and talk at 90 miles per hour. In fact, they will like it. Also, you can walk around your room while talking on the phone, no one will notice or care. You can also walk while listening to a workout, on a conference call, practically while doing anything. (A web conference can be a bit distracting, but luckily there probably won’t be too many!)

Your network marketing business is exactly that: your business. You can run it any way you want. You can make it your pajamas. You control your time. If you want to work on your business for 15 minutes or three hours, that’s fine! Network marketing is a business that you can use what may have been a problem for you at one time with many of the necessary features built in.
