Polaris Introduces Ranger XP
Polaris has been in the power sports industry for decades, and its product line includes snowmobiles, ATVs and motorcycles. It has also entered the electric vehicle market, beginning with its first electric vehicle, the Ranger XP Kinetic.
The Ranger XP Kinetic is an all-electric side-by-side that is designed for hunters, farmers and landowners. The electric powertrain from Zero Motorcycles gives the vehicle unmatched durability and performance. This vehicle is available in two trim levels. There is the Premium trim, which starts at $24,999, and the Ultimate, which costs $29,999. These models come standard with a combined Level 1 / Level 2 EV charge cord, which allows charging from a 120V or 240V outlet.
Although the Polaris off road Ranger XP Kinetic isn’t the first Polaris electric off road vehicle, it is its most technologically advanced model. For example, it has a more powerful motor, allowing for greater torque, which means it can go faster. Also, it doesn’t drain the battery as quickly as a Chevy Bolt.

Polaris has also released a new app called Ride Command+. It combines trip planning and navigation into one feature. Additionally, it has a buddy system that allows groups of riders to keep track of each other. As well, it includes a full underbody skid plate and a five-year warranty on the battery.
The RANGER XP Kinetic is the most durable UTV ever built. It has fewer moving parts, meaning it won’t require as many repairs. Plus, it offers quiet operation and a smooth ride. In addition to having a higher payload capacity than a conventional gas-powered vehicle, it delivers more horsepower.
The RANGER XP KINETIC is available in several color options. Choose from Sage Green, White Lightning, and Avalanche Gray. Moreover, the RANGER EV Li-Ion Polaris Pursuit Camo is the brand’s first vehicle to be produced with a partnership with Brammo Inc. It is also the industry’s first lithium-ion off-road vehicle.
Polaris is expected to offer a number of different electric off road vehicles in the future. In the meantime, the company is working with Zero Motorcycles on an electric powertrain. They hope to introduce an electric Ranger by 2021. Electrification is an important step in Polaris’ goal to create a broader customer base for its power sports vehicles. By 2025, Polaris promises to have an electric vehicle option for each of its core products.
According to Polaris, the Ranger XP Kinetic will be available in two models: a premium and an ultimate. The premium features a 14.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that will charge to 100% in three hours, while the ultimate model boasts a 29.8 kWh lithium-ion battery that will last for more than 300 miles. Both vehicles are rated to tow up to 2,500 pounds.
