The origins of Paradores date back to 1910, when the Spanish

1911, the Marqués de la Vega Inclán begins the establishment
from a hotel in the Sierra de Gredos in Castilla La Mancha, making

August 1926 and was completed on the night of October 9, 1928.
The hotel was inaugurated that same day and became the first

Gredos Parador.
After the inauguration of the Parador de Gredos, the Board of
Paradores and Posadas were formed and efforts were channeled into
refine the original idea and make use of the selected
historical-artistic monuments and beautiful landscapes for the
establishment of new Paradores Spain.
