The best Yugioh decks

Some of the best Yu-Gi-Oh! The decks at the moment are Black Wing and Lightsworn. Following the solemn judgment’s limitation to just one, the Gladiator beast isn’t as effective now.

Of all the best Yu-Gi-Oh! covers, Blackwing has had the most success, winning both the world championship (before the September banlist) and the first Shonen Jump after the new banlist. The only loss that hit him was really the limitation of Gale.

While I still think that pure Blackwing (using Black whirlwind) is arguably the best deck, Vayu Turbo using both Lightsworn’s discard engine and the explosive power of Blackwing’s monsters has caught my eye.

Herman Herrera used Vayu turbo to reach the final of the post-September ban list of the Shonen Jump competition, so it’s worth mentioning here.

Being called Vayu Turbo, naturally Vayu is included. The gist is using Lightsworn’s discard power to take things like Sirocco and Vayu to the grave, using Armageddon knight and dark grepher on top to drop them even faster.

You can use all of this to spawn numerous syncronized monsters quickly. When you’ve cleared everything out to quickly summon some timers, you can use burial from a different dimension to bring them back into play once more.

A little gimmick like Necrogardna is obvious in this deck, and Dimensional Alchemist is a nice extra. When it dies, you can also retrieve one of your monsters that has been knocked out. With all the light and dark monsters in the tomb, you can happily afford to put two chaos sorcerers and a dark armored dragon as well. Of course, they can easily win games, which is actually part of the main game plan.

For spells and traps, you have the charge of light brigades to get your oath of light to discard them more, the charm of darkness goes through your deck. The trap lineup is purely defensive.

Lightworn’s choice is Ryko and Lyla, Ryko is excellent in most situations, and Lyla can be used to destroy spells and traps before calling all synchros via ‘necro-synchro’ (synchronization from the grave using vayu, then get the plague spreader as well from the grave).

The side platform is mainly removal from the tomb. It can be used to get rid of the opponent’s vayu or an additional oath of light. The mirror of oaths is standard against the gladiator beast, the mirror of light imprisonment is a must for the lightsworn, and the fairy wind is quite effective against royal oppression or even deals a little more damage for the play. With this kind of speed, you can get any card that comes with you pretty quickly, especially the important one against light. Because even with three light-imprisoning mirrors, if you don’t get them fast and then kill them fast, you’ll still lose.

Simply put, this deck is built for speed and can quickly throw out a large number of monsters to finish the game quickly.
