If you’re like many people, you love cheesy talk, but you’re not sure if it can really be used to pick up women. A search of the various internet dating advice sites will often return conflicting advice when it comes to using pickup lines. Some will say yes use the chat lines and some will tell you don’t. 1) Pro: Pick up lines give you something to say
We’ve all been there, you see someone you’re attracted to and you’d like to meet, but you can’t think of anything to say. Pickup lines give you a say. Even the cheesiest of cheesy talk says, “How does it feel to be the most beautiful girl in the room?” or “Do you have grapes? No? How about a date?” give her something to say until she can remember her own name again.
Con: It may not be the right thing to say
Chat lines are meant to be fun. Just like any other joke, when mistold, a funny conversation can fail and leave the person you love looking at you like you’re an idiot at best and pouring a drink over your head at worst. Make sure the one you use is safe.
2) Pro: Funny pick up lines show your personality
Most women will tell you that one of the top five things they look for in a man is a sense of humor. Since the pick up lines are jokes, you can show that you really do have a sense of humor. Make her laugh and you’ll quickly have her eating out of your hand.
Con: Wrong choice of line can show that you are an idiot
Lines like “I’m here, what were your other two wishes?” or “I just moved you to the top of my to-do list” can get you slapped or worse. Lines like these don’t show you as confident, they show you both arrogant and too dumb to notice. Be very careful when choosing which line to use. You want to show a sense of humor, not a need to get kicked around.
3) Pro: Cheesy conversation lines are rare
Believe it or not, pickup lines are not used very often these days. People still love pick up lines, search for them on the internet and share them with their friends, but they are rarely used to pick up women. They’ve gotten a bad rap for only being used by that guy. You know the one in the polyester pantsuit with the gold chains. Since everyone jokes about them but no one wears them, some women may see them as a refreshing change of pace. Just be sure to practice delivery before attempting the line. Poorly delivered pickup lines are the reason they are nearly extinct.
Con: Pickup lines have a bad rap
The reason pickup lines are so weird is that it’s hard to master the timing and delivery of the really cool pickup line without being labeled corny or obnoxious. If you can’t master delivery, just don’t use them.
