What is SEO? Search Engine Optimization Explained

Search Engine Optimization is the technique of getting a higher position in the natural search results of Google, Yahoo and MSN. The search engines that matter the most are Google with 62% market share, Yahoo with 20% and MSN hovering around 10% market share, which means the search engine to choose is Google because Obviously, Google has the highest percentage of people searching the internet.

What you can see on your PC screen when you open Google is a display of local search results, organic search results, and paid advertising results. Paid advertising really has nothing to do with organic search results, even though they are really the same thing. Today we’re just going to talk about “natural” organic search engine results and how to rank higher.

The goal here is not just to get higher placement, but to get more traffic to your website. Getting higher rankings for the keywords that have the most value to you. You will see over time by adding new content that targets specific keywords that you are trying to get traffic from.

Obviously, the goal is to have a higher replacement. If you can get into these top 5 positions, you can drive a lot of traffic to your websites, assuming you target the terms that actually drive traffic.

Over time, SEO is not as fast as overnight, and you can expect to get a lot of traffic from search engine results over time, as long as you encourage a long-term campaign or search engine optimization. search. If you do it right you will see your traffic increase from Google and Yahoo, that’s the exciting part, imagine one day you get no traffic and the next day you run a search engine optimization campaign by adding keyword targeted content and doing some Other things I’ll mention in a minute.

Your traffic will grow naturally with virtually nothing to pay, and that will only grow as long as you set the right landscape.

What does search engine optimization entail?

there are 2 pieces…

Content and structure and visibility of the website.

Search engine visibility, which is really about being mentioned on other websites and links going to your site. It takes time and should not be done all at once.

Doing it all at once basically alerts the search engines that you are trying to manipulate through the search results. Doing so over time and getting into the right web directories, such as Yahoo and the open directories project, can result in higher placement in search results.

The press release is also a payroll as long as you mention it here and hopefully some links. And also getting links from similar related websites can make a big difference.

An example of how powerful online visibility linking alone can be is the Adobe website. Adobe’s website ranks first for the search term “click here.” If you read the Adobe website page, you’ll see that there is absolutely no reference to the search term “click here”. it just doesn’t exist…

So why is Adobe’s website listed at number 1?

Simple as that.

Google is driven by the number of people linking to websites the phrase people used when this was first exposed was “Google booming” and you basically have hundreds of websites linking to a web page with a keyword you are targeting and Google finally figured it out. that people were trying to manipulate that rhythm and now they come up with more timing criteria.

So Adobe is still ranked 1 because there are hundreds of thousands of websites linking to Adobe with the term click here to download Adobe apps. But click here is some link text that actually dries up that powerful search engine ranking and looks like it has a billion search results and Adobe ranks 1 for that search term.

I’m sure it’s worthless to your campaign, but it shows you the power of links. Get enough links to your web page and you can rank high for almost any search term you’re looking for.

So let’s talk about the content and structure of the website…

There are several different things you can do to optimize your website.

Your search engine optimization team should understand the basic fundamentals of building a website that not only has valid source code, but also offers engaging content like video images etc. and links directly to Google to every page of the website almost instantly without having to wait for Google to index your website you can actually create in terms of structure and data sources you can actually create a listing for the search engine and say index this content that doesn’t necessarily help you in terms of ranking higher for keywords but does help to properly index those pages
far.

The next thing you can do here to optimize at the site level is to validate broken links…

So run a program just to make sure nothing is broken on the website because Google is crawling. We want to make sure you don’t find any bad links; otherwise they will fall off the page and be broken.

Removing excessive source code from your website such as Java scripts and styles and formatting and using what we call less table and cascading style sheet based html code makes a big difference not just in low time of your web page, providing a better user experience, but also makes websites more intuitive for Google, since your reading through all the links on the website was using a static, text-based browser instead of using images that search engines can’t read as well, same with flash.

We have to provide links that are made up of real words like “marketing” or “promotion”. Again, you want to have compelling content, like a video, because it makes people choose your result in Google search results. make sure they are on your web page and engaged in your content and if it does come back, Google will record it and recognize that it is not being relevant to a website and perhaps someone with the other search results.

Then there’s something called page-level SEO…

We don’t do SEO just on the home page, there are several different SEO voice points that I will be concerned with on the rest of the website pages. We’re going to worry about not being explicit with the search engines… in other words, we don’t just put the keyword we’re targeting in the title.

We’re going to put an action called and we’re going to put a value proposition to force the person who finds this particular link on Google to be more relevant than the other listings that appear. We also try to use descriptions on each page that include the introduction and talk about the topic of keywords as well as blasting the page with keywords.

The header is also an important role in what you are trying to do with your page level optimization, for example there is a tag called H1 or click tag, each header tag on each page should be unique, in other words , I don’t want every page on my website with H1 part of my overall header.

Some online templates create a template with H1 that is exactly the same for each page, it basically tells the search engine that each page of my website has the exact same header, so using new headers on each page will help your persona For search engine optimization make sure that that is one of the criteria for which you are optimizing.

Speaking of optimizing for search terms, one of the things your SEO should especially do is excessive keyword research…

Understanding the strongest, most powerful keywords in terms of people who are actually searching and then creating categories around those search terms and then pages around those keywords that drive the most traffic.

Let’s say I have the content tracking sheet on “remodeling.” I’m going to have particular client writing content on each of these “home remodel” keywords, so I’ll have a page marked “home remodel” and write unique content. Probably 400-500 words of content with the image.

The next thing is to look at the general visibility of the website

So in website visibility, what we’re talking about is having website mentions and links that make a difference. Like the chamber of commerce and other websites on the internet that are related in one way or another to the website they were trying to get a location for. I’m not going to get a link to homeland assistants from a car website.

So your internet search engine visibility specialist or link specialist or link building expert, your job is to try to get the best links from the websites that have the most relevant to you.

One of the ways we do this is by simply asking websites that we find might be a good place for us to get a link to add a link to our site.

We don’t do that by creating reciprocal links or three-way linking or any kind of manipulation, we just incentivize them and say if you’re interested because their terms are valuable to use, we’ll buy you a cup of coffee or send you a gift card. .

Search engines don’t see that as a pain to influence links, you’re just going to go to the websites where it makes the most sense for you to get a link for your websites to hit.

People are busy, so saying thank you for buying them a coffee or something like that is a very affordable way to get your website likes from a page that has the most relevant stuff to you, so your website building specialist links should be doing this day and night. until they have figured out all the links they need to get from and try to strike up a conversation with the person who owns the page.

If done correctly, SEO will work both at the content level by having structured or organized ballet content, and in keyword optimization, web pages will have a really good internal link structure for the keywords they were searching for.
