Sure, attraction marketing is the way they manage to sponsor more people than you, however, they all share some common traits that most had to “learn”. You made mistakes, learned from them, sought guidance, and got better because of mistakes. Skills 1 and 2 of network marketing are “coaching” and “marketing.” Coaching ability in combination with marketing ability is pretty much the same as “Relationship Management”. If you can coach others through relationship building and manage the process through attraction marketing, you can reach more people and take advantage of the internet to manage the relationship. So what does this look like? We can use myself as the scenario for the case. I learned how to present the training because my team members (downline, but I hate that term, it’s not relational) needed my help. Heck, at first I wasn’t sure how to help myself, but what I learned was that they just needed some encouragement and advice. A good team member with the right mindset (more on mindset in a moment) will take an encouraging trust from me with some tips on lead generation and follow through. They understand that it is their business, they just need to know that they are not alone in the business. Okay, at first it was awful training … I would say “hey, you just have to go out there and talk to more people, post comments on forums, use your dealer’s link in articles, etc”, but the feedback was not so good of them. Telling someone what to do is less effective than showing someone what to do. So to illustrate this I would create “screenshot training manuals” to show step by step certain activities … then I moved on to recording video and continuously communicating via email with all my team members or partners.
When a Rainmaker is asked “how can I become like you?” … they don’t tell them how, they always “show” them how!
Mindset to become a Rainmaker:
This is the easiest MLM Rainmaker trait to talk about. It’s short, to the point, and straightforward. This mindset can also be learned, but it is much more difficult than it sounds. Are you ready? Well … here it is … it is: Positive and confident attitude! If that is all. All Rainmakers share this trait. Think about it for a second. Positive attitudes produce positive results and negative attitudes produce negative results. Now I know what you might be thinking … “sounds great and all, but I know some very successful buttheads.” Yes, there are people with negative attitudes who are successful, but they are very confident! I would challenge, however, that at some point that butthead that succeeds is going to fail at some point.
Rainmakers wake up every morning ready and excited to start the day. It gives them chills to think of making money for the day. They are usually very appreciative people who appreciate their families and don’t worry about failures, but always learn from them. They will usually stay away from “got you” type people and will not waste negative thoughts on which they do not act. Hint Hint! If you want to work with a rainmaker get ready to work, stay focused and don’t complain or complain because the results are not seen overnight.
The activities are what produce the results of Rainmaker:
Well, the third common trait is activities. Think of the most successful person you know … How difficult is it to get in touch with her? What do they do all day? Yes, it’s true … they plan their days and weeks for activities that only produce money. They are on the phone, on the computer, recording videos, developing websites, interacting in forums and practically eating, sleeping and breathing. They are very busy people who constantly analyze their activities and keep track of performance. For example, a Rainmaker will know that on Mondays between 7 p.m. M. And 8:30 p.m. M. It is the best time to schedule webinars for a certain niche group in your time zone because most marketers start part-time. They constantly scrutinize their team members and partners to focus on working with those with the greatest potential or showing the greatest future potential.
