Mercedes-Benz EQE is the electric E-Class with hyperscreen

The Mercedes-Benz EQE is one of the best electric alternatives to the regular gasoline and diesel Benzes that keep climbing the popularity ladder. In this article, we are going to talk about the new EQE, which is the E-class electric vehicle. It will make its debut at the most anticipated IAA auto show. It will be organized in Munich, Germany in 2021. Previously, the event used to take place in Frankfurt. Let’s find out what this vehicle has to offer.

Just like this EQC was a GLC-Class sized electric SUV, and the next EQS was an S-Class sedan, the new model will be the midsize luxury in the EQ family. Unlike the EQC, it shares some features with the EQS. In other words, the EQE sits on Benz’s dedicated electric platform.

As far as the interior and exterior of the EQ is concerned, we only have a few blacked-out teaser images of the vehicle. Full specifications have not yet been released by the manufacturer. However, it is quite clear that the manufacturer wants to establish a relationship between this vehicle and the previous EQS.

So if you look at the roofline and the flowing profile of the EQE, you’ll find that it looks like it stretches from the tip of the nose to the tail. Therefore, we can say that the small sedan will share many similarities with the EQS which has a modern look.

So far, what we can understand is that the EQE will feature more prominent fender bulges at the front and rear. Also, the tail can come with full-width lighting for a great experience.

The interior of the EQE is much more attractive than the exterior. The interior of the new vehicle is almost the same as the interior of the EQS. It looks like it’s the scaled-down version of Hyperscreen’s full-width dashboard.

According to many industry experts, this attractive part will be optional on the new EQE. It was also optional on the earlier model EQS. Also, if the new EV features the same 12-inch instrument panel and 17.7-inch screen, it can leave less black around it to reduce the “giant-screen” effect found in Mercedes.

The EQS is big enough to have some space between the trio of hyperscreen displays. Black Glass piano panel tends to go from door to door. The digital meter group creates a mix on the main screen. It then blends into the passenger screen, which is even more convincing.

We expect the EQE to have two variants: the twin-engine variant and the single-engine variant. Therefore, you can choose one based on your personal preferences. Some people like rear-wheel drive, while others like all-wheel drive.

We still don’t know anything about the size of the battery as well as other features. So if you want to know more about the specification, you should stay tuned until September, when they will be unveiling EQE in Munich.
