So much is the power of communication that if an individual from the past sees the advances of today; he would probably be amazed by it. The leaders of nations should appreciate the increasing participation of the people in current affairs and focus on formulating policies that spread the wings of peace to all countries.
Throughout the world there are thousands who seek a common thing: world peace and its practice; they differ greatly in their views but have a universal goal. The time has come when we must all come together and confront the prejudices of politics, region and race.

One such effort has been made by students at the University of California, Santa Barbara, who have conceptualized an idea to promote peace and prosperity. They plan to do it through community involvement, especially youth. The group is developing a site that aims to bring people together through interactive channels such as games, contests and quizzes. First of its kind, the site promotes the vision of world peace through a puzzle that is open to all to play. Any visitor to the site can register and participate in the contest, the winners of which will get a cash prize. The group plans to donate a percentage of the amount raised through ads to different charities.
On the site, you will find their motive, which is “we can collectively show that the power of love and faith exists, by ending our planet’s long history of hate and murder.” Isn’t this what our religions also teach us?
