In martial arts or any combative type system relaxation, calmness under physical attack is a vitally important factor to master, deep breathing techniques are considered a proven way to do just that. However, it is not the only thing, but it is a highly desired skill to acquire. Note that I said skill, not technique, because in my mind learning to breathe properly under stress or not, as the case may be, takes time to understand and master the principles to be effective, which means being able to use it to your advantage. in any given situation.

In addition, the health benefits are many, that is why deep breathing has been used for many centuries in different cultures of the world, for example, Buddhist monks, martial artists, Shaolin monks and other religions for meditation, relaxation and spiritual health because everyone recognizes the importance of how deep breathing exercises can benefit your health in other ways that conventional therapies cannot. So I thought I’d give you a brief introduction to deep breathing and fresh air.

In short, the essential first step in ensuring radiant health and strength is to take a deep breath of fresh air, preferably outdoors. Why? Because nearly all fitness trainers past and present agree that deep breathing helps you get and stay healthy, it also increases your vitality. It sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is and everyone understood this fact and its true value. However, when you combine other elements like: exercise and outdoor activities with fresh air, good food and water, you have a winning combination. In fact, deep breathing is the basis of physical culture. Not only that, but it can also help improve your health if you are suffering from any kind of illness. In fact, deep breathing has brought many sick people back to health.

Also, take air deep into your lungs through your nose and out through your mouth using your diaphragm, not your chest, to drain air into your lungs. By expanding the diaphragm, it produces suction within the chest cavity that draws air into the lungs (inhalation). By relaxing the diaphragm, air is forced out of the lungs (exhalation). In other words, inhale to get the life-giving oxygen, exhale to expel the unwanted poisonous carbon dioxide.

Try this exercise in the morning, preferably outdoors, or try opening a window, inhale deeply through your nose, try to fill your whole body with clean, pure air, feel your abdomen begin to rise, not your chest, remember, inhale completely from head to toe and expand. Once you can’t inhale any more, try taking one more breath in, then hold for six seconds, and then begin to exhale nice and slowly. As you exhale, squeeze your abdomen down, making a whooshing sound as you do so while giving your abdomen a tighter squeeze. Continue until you have expelled all the air, there should be no air left in your lungs. Now start again.

You will find that your energy levels begin to increase over time, practice at least six times while standing. It’s a great way to start the day or recharge your batteries and get rid of stress. If done correctly, it massages your internal organs and core muscles, but for the best rewards you should practice every day if you can.
