After more than four decades of personal involvement in almost everything related to leadership, from identifying and qualifying, to training, developing and mentoring thousands of actual and/or potential leaders, as well as personally serving, as a leader, in a variety of occasions, I firmly believe that the essential difference, between a genuine leader and the rest of the pack, is real leaders, consistently, get things done and achieve, are worthwhile, well considered, relevant and sustainable solutions, to address! the needs, goals, priorities and perceptions of constituents! How one person achieves and makes a significant difference, for the better, and others do not, is often related to six basic steps, and with that in mind, this article will attempt to consider, examine, and briefly review. , and discuss, what, I believe, is a common sense 6-step approach to quality, meaningful leadership.

1. Set goals/priorities: The initial part of the process is taking the time and making the effort to set goals and priorities that are meaningful, relevant, sustainable, and that will make the organization truly stronger and more effective in achieving its mission. , and a vibrant and vital vision!

two. Perceive, conceive and create a quality strategy: Strategic planning should not be a mere process, but should be used effectively to analyze both the strengths and weaknesses of the group, as well as the direction needed to be sustainable into the future! Therefore, the best leaders must be ready, willing and able to perceive and conceive, and then create, the best strategy and the best way forward, in a way that articulates to constitute, in an inspiring and motivating way. Fashion!

3. Well considered action plan: To achieve quality goals/ideas, one must carefully proceed with a well considered plan of action! This must include both a current action plan and one that is sustainable! You must indicate a primary course, as well as prepared for possible contingencies. Furthermore, a true leader must create an inner circle, with specific responsibilities and a strategy, to review progress and make adjustments, if necessary.

Four. Proactively move forward: You can’t wait for things to happen, proceed, refuse and/or procrastinate! Achievement comes from consistency, proactivity, action, advancement, and a willingness to expand one’s personal zone to maximize one’s potential for success!

5. Evaluate and reevaluate: Creating strategic and action plans is important, but the potential for success comes from constantly evaluating and re-evaluating the best way to do things.

6. Achieve goals: If goals are meaningful and worthwhile, it behooves a true leader to persist, consistently, focused on achieving meaningful goals. Often the difference between getting things done and less results is strongly related to the persistence and perseverance of the leader.

Real leaders do the things they believe are necessary for effective leadership! Are you ready for the tasks?
